The goDMV 2026 Commuter Competition launched on April 1 with great enthusiasm! Thirty-eight employers are participating and more than 1,500 commuters, marking an excellent start to the 2nd annual event.
The first one hundred participants who registered for goDMV received a $10.00 CommuterCash bonus. In addition, all participants who logged a trip into the CommuterCash app on the first day of the event were automatically entered into a raffle prize drawing.
goDMV Employer Benefits
The goDMV Commuter Competition is a no‑cost way for employers to boost employee morale while advancing sustainability goals. Upon conclusion (May 15) of the friendly competition, three small employers (less than 100 employees) and three large employers (more than 100 employees) will be recognized based on the total number of trips taken and logged into the CommuterCash app by their employee teams. Winning employers will receive a glass trophy, plus swag and a catered lunch for participating employees. Winning organizations also establish themselves as great places to work.

The goDMV Commuter Competition provides opportunities for employees to earn cash rewards and prizes! It’s also a fun and engaging way to brighten the workday, build camaraderie with colleagues, and strengthen pride in their company. Through May 15, employees are tracking their sustainable trips using CommuterCash, the popular commuter rewards app from Commuter Connections. Eligible trips include:
- Bicycling
- Carpooling or vanpooling
- Scootering
- Teleworking
- Transit
- Walking
There’s still time (through May 8) for employees of any organization in the DMV to jump in and participate. Simply ask employees to download the CommuterCash app, tap the JOIN goDMV button, and start logging their trips.
