How Can Park & Ride Lots Help Optimize My Commute?

Park and Ride lots are ideal locations to meet your carpool partner(s). Many lots, such as the Springfield Commuter Garage in Virginia, also serve as meeting grounds for “sluggers”, or casual carpoolers. They also serve as a great staging area for vanpools that routinely commute at the same time on set weekdays. Select the button below to find carpool or vanpool partners who share a similar commute as you and may be interested in sharing the ride.

Park and Ride lots are typically located near major highway corridors that tend to get congested during commuting hours. Park there to hop in a carpool, vanpool, or bus to meet Express Lane / HOV requirements that may allow you to zip to your workplace more quickly – and use the lanes for free!
