The 25th anniversary of the free Bike to Work Day event in the Washington metropolitan region will take place on Friday, May 15. Sponsorship opportunities are available through January 31. Last year, nearly 13,000 participants registered and biked to more than 100 “pit stop” locations across the District, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
Sponsoring Bike to Work Day 2026 is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your organization’s commitment to a healthier, more sustainable region. Depending on sponsorship level, your brand will receive visibility on thousands of event T-shirts and posters, the Bike to Work Day website, radio advertising, social media, and press releases.
Bike to Work Day is co-organized regionally by two 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations; the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (Commuter Connections program) and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. Regional sponsor donations are tax-deductible and help fund the cost of thousands of free T-shirts for registered participants.
