April 15 to May 14 – Shutdown of a portion of the Green Line between Prince George’s Plaza, College Park-U of Md and Greenbelt stations

Shutdown of a portion of the Green Line between Prince George’s Plaza, College Park-U of Md and Greenbelt stations

Surge 14 will commence in two phases:

  • Phase 1 – April 15 through April 29:
    • Limited free shuttle buses will replace trains between Greenbelt and Prince George’s Plaza.
    • Greenbelt and College Park – U of Md stations closed.
    • Green Line trains will run near normal service every 6-8 minutes between Prince George’s Plaza and Branch Avenue.
    • No Yellow Rush+ service. For Yellow Line service customers from Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street should transfer at King St-Old Town.
    • Yellow Line trains will operate normal service between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square.
  • Phase 2 – April 30 through May 14:
    • Limited free shuttle buses will replace trains between Greenbelt and College Park – U of Md.
    • Greenbelt station closed.
    • Green Line trains will run near normal service every 6-8 minutes between College Park – U of Md and Branch Avenue.
    • No Yellow Rush+ service. For Yellow Line service customers from Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street should transfer at King St-Old Town.
    • Yellow Line trains will operate normal service between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square.
